Arthur's Tree

It's been just three weeks since you, our precious Arthur, met Jesus.
My arms miss the feeling of you in them.
How I long for you!

. Not a moment goes by that I don't miss you.

It's the little things that remind me of you.

Finding your favorite onesie in my room...
Your footprint in my journal.

Each time I grieve I rejoice that one day my sweet boy I will hold you again.

I've never known such pain and grief.

Saying goodnight and giving kisses to my precious gems, makes my heart hurt.

When I reach your empty crib -
I long to just one more time see you sleeping there.

Our hearts ache to hold you just one more time.

You brought so much joy into my life, my sweet boy.

As a staff {joined by a few friends who also loved you so much}
we held a Memorial service for you.
 We gathered together and we
remembered the precious days and moments we had with you.

We cried and we grieved the loss of you in our lives.

Yet we rejoiced that you our sweet boy breathe heavenly air.

In your memorial service we talked about our favorite moments with you.

Then we shared how your legacy would live on.

We decided to plant a palm tree in your honor.

We affectionately call it "Arthur's Tree".

To us palm trees resemble life and His promises.

You sweet Arthur brought so much life to our hearts.

You showed us how to love radically.

Together we planted your tree each taking a turn with the shovel.

Your life left a beautiful legacy of life and love and
we can't wait to see your tree grow.

We love you our precious Arthur you will never be forgotten.
Your legacy lives on and we can't wait to see all that God
does through your life's legacy.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted,
He rescues those whose spirits are crushed."
Psalm 34:18
