Today We Are Celebrating...Introducing..

Today we are celebrating...

The day I have dreamed of since I was a little girl has finally become a reality..
I am so humbled, and honored to be sharing with you my sweet friends,
all that God has been doing in my life.

As I adjusted to living here permanently, God clearly showed me that
the time was 'now'...and that the dreams long planted by Him in
my heart needed to become a reality.
It has been a lengthy process gaining NGO {non-government organization}
status yet it's really official and my lifelong dream is finally becoming a reality.
Words fail me that I have the privilege of being chosen to have this enormous joy -
I am thrilled that I can serve in a land that I have loved for as long as I can remember
caring for His most precious gems - The Special Needs Treasures of Uganda!

As this story unfolds, God is the only one writing it and

I am humbled and grateful that He would choose me to be part of it all.
Please join me on this amazing journey of loving the forgotten, strengthening the weak and encouraging the weary...
~
Welcome

Congratulations, Emma!!! We're praising God with you for His mighty works to bring each detail to fruition on this memory-making day in March 2014! May He receive all of the glory, honor, and praise as you go forward in His name. May countless lives be changed, physically, emotionally, and spiritually because of your faithfulness through the years of preparation, today, and into the future. We are honored to know you and to celebrate this great joy with you. May His peace be yours everyday. John 14:26-27. Love you! Danica

Hey Emma! So excited to see this whole thing bloom after the seed was planted when you were so young. Loving all that you are doing. I can't wait to show my little Eliana what you are doing because she constantly talks about the orphans of the world and has shed tears for them when we bring them up and pray. Proud of you!

Emma! What a joy to know that it is official ad you are off and running with the Gem Foundation!! Never mind you have put in 15 long and challenging months already! It is a privilege for me to pray and be one of your warriors and I want you to know I will continue to do so.

May God richly bless you and use you in the lives of your Ugandan treasures! Much much love, Judi

Hi Emma,
Congratulations on your NGO! Fantastic. We don't know you, but came across you from your mom's blog a few weeks ago. I can feel your excitement about this one, especially as your calling and mine are SO similar and I know the frustrating journey of starting an NGO (in a completely different country nonetheless). Anyway, I will be emailing you as I was wondering if you needed a website? Just thought I would let you know so you can look out for it.
Many blessings to you and your ministry. I think you are doing a fabulous job :)

Hi Emma! That really is an exciting announcement like you said in the restaurant in Jinja! I am currently helping out at a Special Needs class and outreach program at the mission that we are with(http://newhopeuganda.org/programs/special-needs-program/) and it is always good to hear of another organization that cares for these treasures! May God bless you and the people who are blessed through your work! Catriona
